Unformatted text preview: McGill University Faculty of Science TAKE HOME FINAL EXAMINATION MATH 423 / 533 Regression and Analysis of Variance / Honours Regression and Analysis of Variance DUE: Tuesday, December 2nd, 5 p.m. 1 1 The Data Scleroderma is an auto-immune disease that causes inflammation of bodily tissue, most notably skin-related tissue. The activity of the disease is measured by a questionnaire that is scored be- tween 0 and 10. Researchers are interested in modeling disease activity as a function of different aspects of the disease. The data set for the Take-Home Data Analysis contains information on scleroderma patients in the Canadian Scleroderma Research Group registry. Assume that these patients are a random sample of the population of scleroderma patients. SDAS.1- The Disease Activity Score for each patient which is a score between 0 and 10. MHDEF3.1- This is a disease definition variable for classifying the type of disease that patient has. Limited disease is coded as 1, diffuse disease is coded as 2, and sine-typepatient has....
