Sarah Trayner Journal 9 I have changed a great deal through the course of this semester. This class has helped me to grow as a writer in that I can better express my ideas to the audience that I am trying to address. At first, I would just try and get my ideas written on paper as fast as a could and I just randomly put them together hoping that it made sense. After this class, I know how to write and to whom I should be writing to. Also, In the beginning of the semester, I had no clue about what genre was or how to get my point across to a specific audience. I did not feel comfortable when it came to discussing genre because it felt rather vague to me. This class gave me a clear understanding of what genre was and now I can actually determine what type of genre certain works are. Another thing that I learned in this class was how to create a web page. Before this class, I did not

I felt extremely pleased with myself as well as my group because I believe that we did an awesome job working together on our web page. In short, I have learned many things in this class that makes me the writer that I am today. I know how to write for a specific audience, tell apart genres from certain works, as well as create and publish web pages. Also, I am more skilled grammatically and pay more attention to the actual point that I am trying to get across to my reader. This experience has changed my perspective on writing because of having to compose things through digital media. It gave me a different perspective on what ads, magazine, as well as internet sites are trying to get across to the reader. Hopefully my knowledge in English will continue to grow as I spend my years at FSU....
