Question 2:  In our society, people are exposed to varied factors that either limit them or  help them to excel in life. Varied factors depend on a person’s cultural  background, their social life, financial issues, as well as a persons’ outside  influences.  All of these factors can be seen as affecting the lives of several  characters in Take the Lead . It simply just depends on whether or not individuals  or groups of people have access to capital. In Take the Lead , most characters in their school have little or no source of  profit or advantage over other students.  Most of the students come from low class  families who are struggling with financial issues and express it by acting  “tough”  and disrespectful to other people. This is visible to the audience in the scene in  which Larhette is taking care of her baby brother in a one bedroom apartment
