JOURNAL ARTICLE ASSIGNMENT FOR ECOLOGICAL GENETICS Term Project Guidelines ECL242_PHR 242 January 6, 2010 Compare and contrast 2 journal articles on an ecological genetics topic. The two articles should address a system/question/technique/topic in common (for example same taxonomic group or same basic ecological genetic topic) yet the 2 articles should differ in some way so you can contrast them: in results/conclusions, use of techniques, era that the work was done, etc. Your products: 1) (5 points) Due Jan 27 at 1pm – coherent paragraph describing your ideas for project (see below). 2) (15 points) 10 minute oral presentation of your article review and findings during last two class session (scheduled on Wed March 10 and Mon March 15). 3) (10 points) (Due on Wed March 10 and Mon March 15 depending on when you present your talk). 1-2 page written term paper handout summarizing what you read and discovered to be handed to class the day of your presentation. Also submit the handout to the SMARTSITE DROP BOX.
