    Lecture Goals At the end of this lecture, you should be able to… Diagram  and  explain  how mutations occur at the DNA  level. Differentiate  between a substitution versus indel  mutation. Relate  genotype and phenotype using the Central  Dogma. Distinguish  the effects on the protein product of a  missense mutation, a silent mutation, a nonsense  mutation, and a single-nucleotide frameshift mutation. Predict  the resulting amino acid sequence when given an  original DNA sequence, a specific mutation (e.g., type,  location, etc.) and translation table
