Phonological Analysis Notes 2/12/2008 Anouncements/ Assignments: Webct assignment due by 6 AM Thursday. It is about chapter 3, consonans, which we will be going over that day. Small homework #2 is due next Tuesday. It has similiar problems to ones that we've been doing, except we won't only be working with obsruents. You will have to work with diagrams that show how a lexical representation can become various phonetic forms. You are expected to bring the colored index cards that she gave to you today for each class. They are a way for you to answer. Notes: German and Hungarian problems: There are typos on it. They do not affext the answer to the problems. On #7, the suffix form should be [ɡraɪzə] SAMPA([graIz@]). On # 6, it should be [ɡraɪz-e] SAMPA (graIz-@). #5, way, ahould be [ve:k] SAMPA([ve:k]). The first thinɡ she would have you do is compare German answers with a neighbor or two.
