Position Paper #1 Brandon Grimes T.A. –Matt Sayball It certainly does make sense to doubt everything in order to know something. First, all of the knowledge gained in life comes from a foundation of potentially false beliefs. Second, we are unable to understand our place in reality without doubting what we have previously conceived as being certain. Lastly, the act of doubting everything affirms that we are living life to the fullest. All of these reasons show how doubting everything stimulates the knowing of something. All of the knowledge gained in life comes from a foundation of potentially false beliefs. Quite often, disappointment takes over when we discover that what we have been taught are simply prejudices. The things we think are obvious could likewise be erroneous. My thoughts and beliefs are nothing but the outcome of my education and the influence of my environment. For example, I distinctly remember hiking through Pipestem National Park with my uncle at age nine. It was amazing to see nature in work
