The Apartheid is the segregation in South Africa between whites and blacks. The Apartheid tookplace during the mid-1900’s and was characterized by political culture based on white supremacy. This means that South Africa was dominated politically, socially, and economically by minority white population. I did not study much before this class, this topic. However, I know that the Apartheid made it difficult for women of color to find jobs. They were faced with gender discrimination and racism. Although, I do not know much about the Apartheid: the little I know are all information about suffrage amongst black South Africans. This research topic makes me want to learn about the struggles black women faced, the way the government handled it, and the outcome of the event. Has the Apartheid faded or is it ongoing? Part 2Now that you have identified your topic and described what you already know about the topic, what questions do you still have about the topic that you would like to know? Place your answers in the right-hand column.Identify one question about the topic that you are curious about. What was the cause of the apartheid in South Africa?Describe why this question matters to you personally. It matters to me personally because I am related to the race of the people of south Africa. I want to connect with the history there; especially this historical event. If I know the cause of the Apartheid, then maybe I can know how it happened.
