Based on what you know about symbolic interactionism and feminist theory, what do you think proponents of those theories see as the role of the school? Symbolic interactionism is the connection of meanings to people or things based on society and their micro encounters with each other (Little, Vyain, Scaramuzzo, Cody-Rydzewski, Griffiths, Strayer, Keirns, & McGivern, 2014).The feminist theory is a comprehensive theory of differences between men and women, and their impact on society's progress (Little et al., 2014). Even in different countries around the world, these two ideas are seen throughout the education system. In the biased way teachers and professors teach or influence their students, you can see the symbolic interactionism. We can also see the feminist theory and the representation of gender differences in our educational system. Boys are always considered for topics that might be useful in office settings while girls are given choices such as cooking, home economics, sewing, and other such "extracurricular activities." Many schools will have funds and resources for boys to go into
