Why I selected this individual and/or team and how they will support my success
in the MSN program and as a practicing nurse:

I believe my student success advisor, Jessica M Seda-Ruiz, as well as course
instructors, will support my success in the MSN program and as a practicing nurse by
helping me stay prepared and focused and addressing any questions or concerns I
have throughout the program. While I was going through the application process, I had

my own enrollment advisor, who was there for me when I had questions and followed-
up with me every week to make sure I was on track for the start of the program. Before I
even started the program, I already was supported by Walden’s faculty, so I know I will
continue to be supported by Jessica and other faculty in the program and as a
practicing nurse.
As I begin this journey, it will be extremely helpful having a personal success
advisor to communicate with every week making sure I stay organized as well as
providing guidance and knowledge about the program itself. According to The Walden
Journey to a Masters in Nursing: Networking and Collaboration video, you cannot do it
alone, “it takes a village” to be successful as a practicing nurse (Laureate Education,
Inc., 2018). I could not agree more this statement; I know I cannot do this alone. I am
fortunate enough to have the utilization of my success advisor and plan to take full
