Books have a wide variety of content in them. It can be light-hearted fun, or it can be more mature in it’s themes and plot. Now, which one would you rather your child read? This has been an ongoing issue for a little while now, and how we should handle it. But there are a lot of people saying that books they don’t want their child to read should be banned. Especially books that contain vulgar and explicit content. Yes, some books in libraries in schools and in the public aimed at kids do contain mature themes and have explicit content that might seem inappropriate for kids to read. However, banning books is not close to being the solution to getting that book out of your kids’ hands. There are a lot of kids and adults that are fine reading that kind of book, and enjoy it more than other light-hearted books. So, if we ban that book, we’re making them lose out on something they enjoy. And what about the author? They’ve no doubt spent a long time and effort to write that book, and getting that book banned hurts them, too.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
