The resurrection is important to the Christian worldview because it shows that Jesus kept his word during his crucifixion. He said that he would rise again in three days, which would be the resurrection, and he did. He came back to save us, to continue to teach us and guide us, for 40 more days. If Jesus wouldn’t have loved his people and acted so selflessly, then we would all still be living a life full of sin. I also think that Jesus’ resurrection exemplifies what our resurrection will be like when we die. His resurrection included both his physical and spiritual being and we are told that that will be the same for us as well. The scripture in 1 Corinthians 15:35-49 clearly explains what will happen to us once we die, for it was the same as Jesus’. I found that once I read Luke 24 that reading 1 Corinthians 15 after helped me further understand Jesus’ resurrection and what it meant for us too. Also, there’s a reason that Easter Sunday for Christians is very important because it is the day we celebrate that Jesus has risen!
