MTH100 Placement and Learning Support Requirement: Students, if you are enrolled in MTH100 this semester, you MUST also enroll in the 1-credit Learning Support Tutoring Lab (MTH099) that accompanies this class (unless advised otherwise). The Learning Support Lab is intended to give all students one-on-one or small group support in Math and is designed to work to strengthen your problem solving skills altogether. In the past, Lawson State would have required you to take MTH098 (a developmental course 3 credit class) prior to you enrolling in MTH100. However, we are giving you a chance to prove yourself on the college level by allowing you to enroll in MTH100 (now) along with the added Learning Support Lab. With that in mind, attendance in the Learning Support lab is mandatory and will be directly tied to a grade within your MTH100 course as well. If you have not enrolled in the Learning Support Lab (MTH099), you need to do so the first week of the semester unless you have been advised that you can omit the support lab (please do so prior to the end of the drop and add period). OPT OUT / EXEMPT OPTIONS: Please note that students can only exempt out of MTH099 during the Drop/Add period (if they meet the criteria outlined below). Failure to act on this notice in a timely manner will rid you of the ability to opt out of this requirement.
