Why I Want to Teach By Sydney Beecher EDU 125 - 10/29 There are a handful of reasons that I have chosen to follow the path that leads me to becoming a teacher. Though I can admit that becoming and being a teacher will have a multitude of challenges, the rewards will always outweigh the long road ahead. One of the biggest rewards I can achieve from teaching is the feeling of satisfaction. The feeling of satisfaction will come from how I can make an impact on my community by educating my students and seeing my students grow. This stems from the fact that I believe that I have the opportunity to provide student’s life lessons, skills, and advice alongside academics. From the experiences I’ve had working with children and volunteering in the classroom, I know that I can achieve my desire to make an impact. So, I want to be a teacher because I want to impact my community and I know I can achieve this through my experiences volunteering and working with children.
