1A Critical Analysis of Two Definitions of Sex by Greta ChristianChristina has proposed several definitions about sex, such as intercourse with men, withwomen, the sex-related behavior and all the passionate desires and the pursuit of happiness. This assignment mainly identifies the logical and problematic issues of the two definitions ofsex as expressed by her and these two are very different from each other. The former is thedefinition that sex is the intercourse between male and female and the latter is the definitionthat sex is all the sex or non-sex related pursuance and experiences. Both of these twodefinitions have the problems of being too narrow, or too broad, or at times appear to rangewithin both extremes. Firstly, Christina defines sex as intercourse between women and men and especially onethat involves penetration of the male genitalia to the female genitalia. According to thisdefinition, she lists the names by count of her sex partners that she had had sex with andwhether it counted as sex with regard to how she understood it. This definition has its reasonbut is also narrow as well as too broad. It is reasonable because the intercourse between femaleand male belongs to sexual behaviors (4). This definition is a traditional definition to a certainextent, that intercourse with males by females can only be viewed as sexual behaviors.
