Castillo, Jessa Mae B.July 2, 20194MKTGAPHILO 107The Les Misérables film showed a reflecting perception from us, the film viewers, whichmade us question and reflect on many morality principles of the film. The question of the film isthat who among the characters were moral and who were legal? But I would like to emphasizewhat does moral mean. From what I understand of its meaning in the book “Ethics” by Mr.Apolinar Fernandez, moral having the same meaning with ethics, implies the dealing with thegood, bad, right, or wrong behavior of a person. The part of the film that was shown to us focused mainly on the life of Jean Valjean andhow it revolved and affected those who he encountered with. Although Jean Valjean was guiltyof the crime stealing and repaid his debt through hard labor, his growth after his prison lifeproved that in the film, he was the moral one who stood out among other characters. Even afterreleased from prison, he chose to stole from a priest and nun who offered him shelter, food, and
