Themeans to achieve the vision was stipulated in the mission that is “To improve the health and well-being of Northern Maryland” (Vidant Health, 2015). The attainment of the vision through the mission could happen through strategic planning based on the TOWS analysis of the organization and an examination of the current position of the organization to plan strategies that will work better to improve the organization.Application of Knowledge-EconomyAccording to research, healthcare is shifting from the conventional product based economy to knowledge-based management. The reason is that with the current issues such as universal and affordable healthcare, hospitals find themselves with limited resources to achieve alot of work. Therefore, information is needed to know how best to limit expenditure to survive inthe current health management organization without compromising on the quality of care to patients. Adventist Healh can utilize knowledge-economy by taking advantage of the already installed networking and communication system to access research on the new developments in the sector. According to Cegarra Navarro & Cepeda-Carrión, the leadership of healthcare organizations should invest more in the access of knowledge to reduce the operational costs (Cegarra Navarro, J.G., & Cepeda-Carrion, G., 2013).
