What was the impact of the American Revolution on Native Americans, slaves and women? Identify situations or people to support your position. The American Revolution affected almost every inhabitant of what is now America. Some affects were positive and some were negative. There existed activists on both sides. And many people were inspired to act because of their deeply held beliefs. No matter which way the tide turned, life had been changed in the newly minted the United States. Deborah Sampson, one of the activist, lied and dressed as man to enlist in the Army. She contributed a lot to the cause of the Republic. Her bravery led to her receiving a soldier’s pension. Because of this type of activism, women of all backgrounds got together to raise funds, make clothing and protest businesses who sought to gain profit from the war. Because of the Revolution, the role of women had been improved in many areas, such as daily life, business as well as politics.
