Course Description The course provides a broad introduction to the field of psychology in its current form as the scientific study of behavior and mental processes subject to environmental influences. This course enables students to have a better understanding of emotional intelligence and enhance the associated social skills. In addition, the course focusses on the positive aspects of human nature and determinants of subjective well-being and their implications for growth and development. 2. Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. evaluate the major factors influencing human behavior in different situations. 2. develop and demonstrate familiarity with the major concepts and perspectives in psychology. 3. Differentiate between the various scientific approaches and techniques to enhance social skills. 4. identify the key practical aspects of EI abilities related to human success. 5. work effectively with others and demonstrate team spirit. 1
