WFC 50 Winter 2009 Draft March 9 STUDY GUIDE FOR FINAL EXAM (our final exam is scheduled for Thursday, March 19 from 1-3 pm in Olson 206) The midterm will focus on material from both LECTURE and LAB from February 2 to March 12. General concepts may also be pulled from the first part of the course. Nothing unique will be pulled from the readings, but it is still useful to review materials from the Atlas and Natural History book referred to in class. These will better help inform your essays. The format of the midterm is short essay and long essay. You will write directly on the paper exam and do not need to bring a blue book. You will be asked to write short, ½ page essays on your choice of 5 of the 8 test questions, and one long, full-page essay on your choice of 1 of 3 test questions. The exam is designed to take 70 minutes, but you may use the full 2 hours during the final exam period, if you wish. Oak Woodlands – why is acorn production so important to the animals of oak woodlands? What are some of the animals that use these acorns?
