Went to UCLA- painting and music 1. 1928-left, thought he would paint iii. Moved to NY, and attended German Modern dance concert starring Harold Kreutzberg and Yvonne Georgi 1. Kreutzberg’s masculinity convinced him men could dance enrolled in modern dance classes at Humphrey-Weidman Studio 2. Invited to join co. in 1930 and toured with them until 1940 3.
