Bateson - need for self control and self-transparency The true competition was against the addiction, against his physicality - he was unable to control mind over matter AA - enlist the support of otherness rather than combating it Point that the mind is already mindful - has a mind of its own - not perfectly separate from the mind Not exclusive of mindfulness How does the body know things? What is a father? What is a mother? The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
