Unformatted text preview: Climate Change Article Summary 1 The article Public Praises Science; Scientists Fault Public, Media presents statistical results of a survey study about different subjects in science. Some of these different studies were stem cell research, climate change, animal testing, and the origin and development of life. The survey study also showed determinants of these participant’s beliefs. Some included religion, level of education, and political party. First, the survey showed that religion influenced people’s beliefs of human evolution. The majority of the people that participated in this study believe that human evolution exists. However different factors cause these people to believe for different reasons. First, factors such as the person’s religion and how often the participant went to church directly influenced that person’s answers. The article states that the people who often attend church believe a supreme being caused the human development where as people that do not attend regularly believe that natural selection has caused the evolution.
