Guidelines - It is not a static document - It should be adapted to what it is being used for. - Cv is for an employer, to get you an interview. - Target your Cv to an employer, job sector or vacancy. - Usually two A4 pages. - Font size 11, lettering styles Arial/Helvetica. - Spelling accuracy. - Positive language & action words, use the language of the employer in the job advert and industry, including buzz words, i.e empathy. - Do a covering letter if requested. Skills Employers Want - Qualifications - Work experience - Business Awareness - Research - Analytical - Answering the question - Time management - Socialising - etc etc Structure of the Cv - Name/Details - D.O.B/Nationality Optional. - Career profile/ Personal profile
