An Introduction To Project Management An overview of the course and an introduction to the realities of project management today, using examples that illustrate the organizational and human issues in project management. Statement of Course Objectives • This course is intended to provide students with knowledge of basic project management techniques and practices while placing these within their organizational context. Students should understand how these techniques and practices are used and about the human issues in their application. Upon the successful completion of this course, you will: – Be able to apply basic project management techniques. – Understand common organizational practices in project management so that these are familiar when encountered in organizations. – Understand the human and organizational issues that exist in project management and practices to address these.
