Radiological Emergency Management Independent Study Course 5-10 UNIT 5 REVIEW This unit reviews the fact that most of our exposure to radiation comes from everyday sources that are not considered life-threatening. This type of radiation comes from natural and artificial sources. The vast majority of this everyday radiation (over 80 percent) comes from natural sources. Of the natural sources, cosmic radiation accounts for most of our direct exposure.
