Franz Liszt Essay Franz Liszt was a hungarian pianist of the Romantic Era. He was taught by his father to play piano at a young age. He was a prodigy of his craft, as he was able to appear in concert hall at the early age of nine years old. As an adult, he would tour around Europe extensively. He was known as being uncanny with his music. He would improvise original compositions from a melody that the crowd would suggest to him. He become more well known because of his philanthropy. Most of his concert earnings went to charity, and humanitarian events such as when the Great Fire of Hamburg happened. Liszt gave those concerts away to help the homeless from the fires.
