Observation 6 Introduction: The observation is taken at Preschool on the Hill, Rowland Heights. The child I have observed is Jessica and her teacher’s name is Nancy. She is 3 and 6 months years old. She was chosen for observing because she is a 3 to 4 year old child and an active child. By the way, she is my Focus child. Social and Emotional Development: Self-Concept 1. Jessica is very confident and proud of herself. While the teacher was playing music, a few children were following teacher to dance. After she saw it, she joined immediately. At that time, her mom was also at preschool. While Jessica was dancing, her mom was standing aside and clapping hands. At beginning of dance, she danced norm, but she like to dance in a big empty area and in front of all children. In addition, when her mom praised her said, “nice job, Jessica!.” she stepped up foreword one step and her movement became bigger. 2. She is a litter bit avoid responsibility.
