1 LAB #5 (Week 5): Muscular Strength, Power, and Endurance PROCEDURES: 1) Measure grip strength following the procedures described in Unit 10 in the Kinesiology 142 Laboratory Manual. Complete the data form, Table 10-1 (4 marks). 2) Using the Jackson Evaluation System perform the two tests described on page 10-2 in the Kinesiology 142 Laboratory Manual. Complete the data form, Table 10-1 (4 marks). 3) Perform the CPAFLA vertical jump test following the procedures described page 11- 2 in the Kinesiology 142 Laboratory Manual. Complete the data form, Table 11-1 (7 marks). 4) Perform the force-velocity experiment as described on pages 11-8 to 11-9 in the Kinesiology 142 Laboratory Manual. Complete the data form, Table 11-4. Show all of your calculations for the 80% of 1 RM load. (12 marks) 5) Perform the push-up test, the partial curl-up test, and the CPAFLA back extension test as described in Unit 12 in the Kinesiology 142 Laboratory Manual. Complete the data form, Table 12-1. (7 marks) 6)
