PAM 2100 Exam #1 Preview Bring a calculator. You cannot program your calculator. Make sure your calculator is in floating decimal mode (not programmed to express every number only to two decimal places for instance). You are not allowed to use your cell phone. Table A will be provided on the exam. The exam will cover all of the material from the following handouts: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.3-normal quantile plots, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.6, 3.1, 3.2 I will not ask anything from those sections in the book that we did not cover in class. The exam will consist of problems that are similar to the section/ problem set problems

You dont have to know the equation that defines a normal curve (page 2 of 1.3). You wont have to do the derivation we did on page 4 of 1.3. You wont have to do any of the derivations that are posted under the Derivations folder on Blackboard. We grade the exams strictly. Make sure you round correctly. Make sure you check all of your work. You have 2 hours to complete the exam, so take the time to check your final answers....
