UTL 202 – Lopez November 17, 2009 Sheri Hanslik 7 th Grade Texas History Lesson Plan #5 Reflection For my fifth lesson I did a football review game for an upcoming test on explorers. I divided the class in half then had a student from each team pick a number between one and ten and whoever was closest to my number got to go first. I started the “ball” on the fifty-yard line and the advanced the ball ten yards once a student answered the question correctly. If the student got the answer wrong, then it was a “fumble” and the other team got an opportunity to advance the ball. When a team scored a “touchdown” they received seven points and the ball was placed on the fifty-yard line and the other team got an opportunity to answer questions. I found this lesson to be extremely successful. My class has a majority of boys, only five girls, so they found this lesson to be a lot of fun. Even though this lesson was more geared to the boys, the girls in my class still got involved and enjoyed it. In order to eliminate the problem of
