My unit recently received a care package that contained a letter in it from each of you. If I read correctly, you are both students at Hudson Bend Middle School in Austin, Texas? I figured since you both had the same return email address, I would respond to both of you at the same time. To answer some of the questions. ..Army Basic training was a pain in the butt, and the food I miss the most is corn nuts! I do not know if you helped put the care package together, or just wrote letters for it, but either way, the box and the letters found their way to FOB Wilson, Afghanistan. This is my 7th deployment and my second to Afghanistan, and I can tell you for certain, letters and packages from the rear (United States) are always welcomed and looked forward too. The life here is not quite like it is at home, so anything that boosts morale is great. I am the 1SG for a forward support company that supports an infantry battalion here.
