Summary: The author discusses the use of picture books in both the High School and Middle School classrooms. According to the author using picture books would not only reinforce the content the teacher is trying to pass on, but it would also engage the students and help those who are visual learners, because they are given a visual media to accompany the text material. Picture books can be used in various degrees and in various subjects. The Author discusses how a picture book could be used in an English classroom and at the same time in a History Classroom. Using the picture books gives the students another way to learn the material that engages some of their learning styles.
