1. Purpose: The purpose of this program is to learn about: -Data structures: list them. (ex. lists, trees, array) Array List Sort Vector Stack Map -C++ language: (ex. file I/O, Array, exceptions etc) Iostream Array Pointers OOP Vectors Exceptions Catch/ Throw If statements For loops Class String/ int Constructors/ Destructors Operators 2. Program Description: Describe in no more than three lines what the program does. Do not describe the menu. The program is to be able to organize a set of data in a specific order and sort out the students’ grades and put each student in alphabetical order. It takes in the data then displays the name, ID, and calculates their number and letter grade 3. How to run: a. How to compile: (specify the directory in which to compile, command line, and name of files to compile) You have to go into the joegiangAssignment1 directory where all the files are located. We must know where the directory is, now we can compile the file using putty. We must open Putty then logon to the server sun.cs.tamu.edu and a screen should pop up and we need to type in the user/password. It will be a default to the network drive, and in that will be joegiangAssignment1. We must change the directory (cd) to joegiangAssignment1. Then we must type in “g++ *.cpp” to compile the file together. The *.cpp will include all the files that is in the

directory so we do not need to type in each file name, made for convience. Then the file should compile. g++ *.cpp b. How to run: (Specify name of file to run) joegiangAssignment1 4.
