Nawal Maxamed Mrs. Dyrhaug Honors English 10A Period 7 19 January 2017 Tribute Speech: Zahra Mohammoud “Change is sometimes good but when something disrupts your life and take the things you care about, change hurts.” Zahra Mohammoud had stated this during her personal interview in person. She was remembering the Somali Civil War, when her whole life changed in a blink of an eye. There are people that come from rough hardships but did not let that define them, but make them a better person. Zahra Mohammoud, my mother, demonstrates many different characteristics and accomplishments that make her a great person. Zahra Mohammoud deserves tribute because of her amazing characteristics, because of her incredible accomplishments, and because of her vast influences on others. Zahra Mohammoud deserves tribute because of her amazing characteristics. Zahra is a compassionate person. To be compassionate is to feel or show sympathy and concern for others. Halima Hagi, a close friend of Zahra has shared that she helped her during her rough financial times.
