 Mr.
Smith
Professor
 [email protected] Title:

A
request
from
a
student
in
Engineering
1P04

 Dear
Dr.
Smith,
 My
name
is
Cheng
Kai
Liao.
My
student
number
is
0943980.
You
may
recall
 accidentally
sharing
my
assignment
publicly
in
class
today.
I
am
writing
to
inform
 you
this
action
has
resulted
in
a
substantial
amount
of
embarrassment
for
me.

I
am
 sorry
that
I
have
to
say
that
according
to
the
university’s
policy
of
privacy,
you
have
 invaded
my
rights
by
publicly
broadcasting
my
assignment
in
front
of
many
other
 students
without
asking
for
my
permission.

 As
the
result
of
displaying
my
assignment
in
the
class,
I
feel
very
 disappointed
and
frustrated
because
sometimes
I
might
not
do
well
enough
or
have
 the
willingness
to
share
my
work
with
others.
It’s
very
embarrassing
if
my
 assignment
fails
to
meet
expectations
and
you
read
out
aloud
for
everyone
to
hear.
I
 started
being
afraid
of
going
to
class
and
facing
my
classmate
in
case
they
will
 recognize
me
from
my
assignment.
Ultimately,
my
work
had
been
shown
in
public
 without
warning,
so
I
will
be
glad
if
you
can
do
something
about
it.
Here
are
some
 requests
I
am
making,
hope
you
can
understand
my
situation.
 1. I
need
a
personal
apology
from
you
since
my
privacy
has
been
ignored.
 You
can
do
it
through
a
phone
or
talk
to
me
face
to
face.
That
will
 definitely
make
me
feel
much
better.
 2. Secondly,
I
acquire
you
not
to
share
my
assignment
without
my
 permission
in
the
future.
 From
a
professional
point
of
view,
I
think
you
know
the
school’s
policy
better
 than
I
do.
In
my
opinion,
I
believe
it
is
reasonable
to
have
those
requests.

I
sincerely
 hope
that
my
letter
isn’t
an
offense
to
you.
I
am
mainly
tying
to
regain
my
self‐ confidence
and
interest
in
this
course
again.
If
you
can
send
me
an
email
upon
 accepting
of
the
condition,
I
will
be
greatly
appreciated.

 Sincerely,
 Cheng
Kai
Liao
