Introduction The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the article called "Entertaining Angels: Their Place in Contemporary Theology” written by Lawrence Osborn with the intent to analyze it for use in a future research paper. In the article, Osborn gives a basic overview of his thoughts on angelology and uses Karl Barth’s thoughts on angelology as a starting point. He discusses angelology’s role in modern orthodox theology and discusses the purposes of angels such as being ministering spirits that are sent by God to minister humans. He also touches on the role of angelology in post-materialism and modern Christian spirituality. Following will be a brief summary of the article along with critical interaction with the content of the article. Brief Summary The thesis of this article is that although angelology has not been a major focus in theological studies, angels do play an important role in Christian theology past and present. This
