ECEN 689 - Statistical Computation in Genomic Signal Processing Fall 2009 Homework 4 Due on: November 25, at the start of class, or by e-mail or in my mailbox by 4. Homework Policy : You are expected to write cleanly and concisely, and demonstrate that you understood the problem and its solution. You can discuss the problems with your colleagues if you wish but each student must write their own solutions separately. Late homework cannot be accepted, unless there is a documented valid reason. Please sign and staple your homework. Problems: 1. Terfenedine is an aminodiol , which is the active ingredient in the antihistaminic drug Seldane R . Mass spectral analysis of terfenedine produces the result below. Aminodiols contain C, H, and exactly one group NO 2 . Based on this information and the above mass spectrum, find the formula for Terfedine. You should disregard N and O as isotope-forming elements. 2. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
