Your timeseries plot should connect the individual observations to make a
continuous line.
Be sure to use the "XY (Scatter)" chart type in Excel rather than the "Line" chart
type.
The difference between the two is that the Line chart type treats the x
variable as categorical rather than numerical.
This is something you do not
want, though it does not affect this particular example.
See the worksheet "An
additional example" in this Excel workbook to see an example where it does
make a difference.
Note: you may have reported these in decimal (e.g. 0.038, 0.016, 0.022) rather
than percentages.
That is fine.
Your scatter plot should leave the points unconnected.
