Some key parameters include previous history of many diseases (lung disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and elevated cholesterol), previous surgeries, current medications, allergies, family history, and any other current concerns. In addition to medical history, it should be duly noted the patients age, weight, height, and other physical characteristics. These parameters serve to properly diagnose individuals and their susceptibility to certain diseases (heredity).
