Jason Spiegel, Ben Weiss, Meghan Bush, Christine Wong Case 3 In the Analysis of Sandra Henderson’s campaign, our group found - Interaction perspective was helpful in determining ways to effectively reach the public in order to inform and educate voters about disabilities. Ultimately, providing this information to the public is a useful campaign tactic as it will make the public more comfortable with the idea of a candidate with a disability. For instance, the theories about interactivity and hypertextuality shed some light on ways to use CMC in advantageous ways such as providing multiple information sources and ongoing interactions that make accessing information about disabilities a simple, if not unavoidable process for those already interested in the candidate. One disadvantage to the interaction perspective is that it might have been a little too specific in the sense that it was not useful for strategizing how to increase public interest in Sandra Henderson’s campaign.
