This experiment is intended to prove the conservation laws. It will test to identify if the mixing of substances will in turn yield the mass of each substance added together, which would show that mass was conserved. The experiment will be done first, by adding amounts of the same substance, in this case water, at 5mL increments into a beaker and massing the substance along with the beaker on an analytical balance after each 5mL addition. This same process would be recreated except using a different substance, Acetone. Once that is complete the same process will be done but instead of adding water to water or acetone to acetone, acetone will be added to water and vice versa. Temperatures of the substances during the experiment will be taken and will be used to find the appropriate density in order to correctly calculate the volume of the samples. After doing the experiment and analyzing the results it is safe to say that a mass was conserved.
