Zhiyuan Tan Ztan7@uiuc,edu 671822983 The picture and the sculpture have several things in common. First, they are all clocks. There is a twisted alarm clock in the picture and the sculpture shows a soft, fluid metal clock as a leaf on a tree. The second thing is that they are all arts created by people’s imagination and not the real things which exist in the world. In the picture, we can see a really big twisted alarm suspended in the sky, it’s obvious that it does not exist in the world. Similarily In the same , the sculpture shows a leaf like clock. It can only be created by human’s imagination. Thirdly, they both are all showed some feeling about time. The first one shows that everything in the nature cannot go against the time and the other one shows that time in fluid and makes everything become old. The two works of art arts actually have the same idea about time and the same way to use a clock to show their ideas. Comparison and Contrast:
