Andrew T. Hedrick Chem 32 Section S 11/15/02 Experiment 10 – Clausius-Clapeyron Equation: Relating the Temperature Dependence of the Vapor Pressure of Water to its Enthalpy of Vaporization Purpose:  To measure enthalpy of vaporization of water by measuring the  change in vapor pressure with temperature. Experimental Plan:  The instructions for this plan were based on The  Thompson  General Chemistry 2  Lab Manual, pages 113-118. Changes included performing  the calculations on computer. Data and Observations: The pressure at the time of the experiment was 742.4mmHg Please see the attached sheet. Calculations: The calculations were performed using the  Graphical Analysis  tool on the  computer. We corrected for the inverted meniscus by subtracting .2mL from all  readings. All other calculations were based on their respective equations in the  lab manual.
