Ryan Sanders ISE 495A Homework The value stream map is an accurate representation of the case study because it goes from the correct annual volume to making decision of if it belongs in their department or if it should go to AP followed by a decision for Purchase Order if the answer for AP was a yes. Additionally, if the answer to AP and PO were both yes, then another decision must be made on PFR to see if it has already been paid for. If the answer to all of these is a yes, then a pitch can be made. If there is a no for any of them, an alternate route must be taken. If no for AP, it must be re-routed. If no fro PO, the vendor must be contacted. If no for PFR, it must be sent to an analyst who checks the PFR again and if they determine it was a no, then they have to resolve the issue themselves. This is the same organization described in the case study so the map is accurate.
