Red shift spectral lines of galaxies are caused by the expansion of the universe resulting from space itself expanding, and Hubble’s constant proves this theory. 2. What is the cosmic microwave background? What is its origin? It is the radiation that as created with the young, hot universe. Through expansion of the universe the CMB has cooled like any other black body according to Wien’s law. 3. What is meant by the age of the Universe? How old is it? How is its age found? How long it has been around which is 14 billion years. The age is found by Hubble’s constant. 4. Is our cosmic horizon the same as that of beings in another galaxy? Why? Yes because of the Hubble’s constant which states no matter where your galaxy is any observer see the same law. (Everything is moving away from you) 5. What is the big bang? What are some of its properties?
