A system of moral values for evaluating one’s own behavior An internal source of reward and punishment MORE COMPLICATED – JohnQ THEORY OF MORALITY Lawrence Kohlberg      believed there are stages to developing morality He used moral dilemmas to study moral development After telling children a story he asks the subject what action should be  taken It is the reasoning they gave that was how he thought morality developed There’s a husband and a wife and the wife is going to die if she doesn’t get a drug that  only one person sells. The person sells it for a really expensive price so the husband  decides to steal it. KOLBERG STAGES OF MORAL DEVELOPMENT
