Unformatted text preview: Todd Stahoviak English 104 Susan Roach September 9, 2009 Personal Writing Process There are many ways and personal preferences when writing a paper. The first thing I do to start a paper is just to go over thoughts about the subject in my mind, to get me started thinking about it. This helps me think of ideas a lot faster when I am brainstorming. The next thing I do is write down what I already know about the subject. Writing down what I know lets me see what else I need to find out about the material that I am writing a paper about. The third step in my writing process is brainstorming. When I am brainstorming I like to use a web (sort of like a spider web) and branch out from the center starting with main topics of the subject. As I web out from the center I get into specific details about the other main topics that my essay contains. Next, I organize the paragraphs into proper order that goes well with the paper.
