Supporting a Position Assignment Even though there seem to be many reasons which justify capital punishment, I consider it to be an inadvisable and unwise act. Some con capital punishment reasons would be executing errors, moral and ethical issue and religious pattern. One of the most unjustifiable reasons why capital punishment should be abolished is executing errors or innocent people sentenced to death. The life of an innocent is the same valuable as the life of a person killed by someone sentenced to death. This paradox is a complete irony and has an illogical effect on both opponent’s sides as well as justice and decisiveness, leading to no forgiveness in case the judicial truth is revealed. "Proving that the state executed an innocent person would significantly reduce public acceptance of the death penalty"(Robinson, 2005, Religious tolerance: Executing innocent people, par.a1).
