S.O.W. - UNIVERSITY PROJECT PROJECT TITLE : Structural Health Monitoring technologies: Conceptual design studies and testing OBJECTIVE : Participate to conceptual design studies and testing of Structural Health Monitoring technologies. DESCRIPTION: Bombardier Aerospace is expending efforts in developing Structural Health Monitoring (SHM). SHM is the process of evaluating the integrity of targeted structural elements using sensors installed permanently on the aircraft with the goal to provide maintenance benefits. Among others, the current SHM technologies of Bombardier Aerospace’s interest are Acoustic Emissions, Acousto-Ultrasonics, Comparative Vacuum Monitoring, Eddy Current Foils, Fiber Optic Sensors and Sensitive Coatings. The student will be expected to conduct conceptual design studies of SHM technologies for Bombardier Aerospace legacy and future platforms. His anticipated
